Dr. Patricia Pimentel Selassie ND, CNS
Dr. Patricia Pimentel Selassie is a third generation physician. She received her Naturopathic Doctorate degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. She founded the New Flower Center for Naturopathic Medicine in Brooklyn, New York and has had over 15 years of clinical experience. A life-long eczema sufferer who tried everything else, she attributes her healing to Naturopathic Medicine. Known by her patients as "a doctor you can talk to,” Dr. Selassie blends evidence-based Naturopathic Medicine with an intuitive coaching style so people can be their healthiest best and live their life’s purpose.
To assist in healing the world, Dr. Selassie educates through teaching, public speaking, and by empowering Health Coaches. She has hosted over 450 live call-in radio shows, broadcasting to 22,000 listeners, and has presented on the Naturopathic Medical Profession at Columbia, Howard, and Princeton Universities, among others. Dr. Selassie is a popular instructor at the New York Open Center, teaching about Detox, Skin, Gut Inflammation, and the Thyroid. She is on the Medical Review Board for the School for Applied Functional Medicine and the co-founder of Nat Med Coach and Naturopathic Doctors for Health Coaches a program fast-tracking Health Coaches into Health Experts.
Dr. Selassie was born in Baltimore and lives with her husband, their five daughters, and her mother-in-law in Brooklyn. She joins her husband in collecting archival materials pertaining to Ethiopian and Rastafari Art and Culture for the Haile Selassie I International University Museum and Research Library Center. She enjoys cooking, going to the park with her family, journaling, and loves books, from Personal Growth and Development, and Mind-Set, to Business and Marketing, and, of course, Health.
